The map describes the developing population in the Chorleywood village near London, between the years 1868 and 1994.
From the start, probably there were only two main roads connected to each other, with one small village was built between 1868 and 1883. After around 26 years the railway system was established including a station. Since, then the number of populated areas increased noticeably from being one small village to three big areas surrounding that vicinity.
