The given diagram illustrates the sources of originating CO2 and the nature cycle of carbon in both the surrounding atmosphere and under the ground.
Firstly, CO2 is originated from the respiration of both plants and animals combined with the emissions from auto and factory when fossil fuels energy are burnt. Moreover, by using the organic carbon, the plants photosynthesize to create energy to sustain lives.
Secondly, after a progession of time underground, decay organism of plants, animals and waste products become fertilizer, which helps to enrich the level of carbon in the environment. In addition, an amount of carbon is trapped in fossils and fossil fuels, while another proportion is received as the ocean uptake. Furthermore, the roots of plants also help add CO2 emission through the respiration process.
Overall, with this replenishment cycle, the level of CO2 of the entire world remain constantly for an extended period. Additionally, the CO2 emissions existed in the air and underground are both originated from organic and non-organic sources.
