The diagram below illustrates the carbon cycle in nature.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given diagram demonstrates the complete procedure of carbon conversion in nature.
It is informed in the illustration that the carbon undergoes four main stages in this cycle, where it is transformed into organic carbon, fossils and fossil fuels respectively, then released back to the air through various means.
Initially, in the first stage of the cycle, the energy from sun ray and carbon dioxide goes through a process called photosynthesis, thus, be transformed into organic carbon. The energy then transferred subterranean due to the decay of organisms and waste products. At this stage, a certain amount of organic carbon deposited underground remains stuck underground and proceeds to fossils and fossil fuels.
Subsequently, the remaining carbon is exhausted back to the air in the form of carbon dioxide through two main modi: by the respiration of plants and animals or as a gaseous discharge of autos and factories. As a result, the carbon dioxide is released to the atmosphere, where it will be reabsorbed by the plants. All stages involved in the procedure has then been completed, consequently the carbon cycle repeats itself endlessly.
