The picture illustrates the process of extracting oil in the production of perfume. In general, there are ten steps in total, starting from burning the liquid to ending with gaining hydrolat.
To begin with, the water is boiled by fire to release steam. Then, the steam flows into the second container which has aromatic plants. Before turning into steam mixed with oil vapor, the steam obtained from boiling water has to go through aromatic plants.
Once this step has been completed, the mixture flows into the condenser where cold and hot water are combined. At this stage, the steam which also combines with oil vapor now turns into water mixed with essential oil. After that, this liquid is transferred to the separator where water is sorted out and leaves pure essential oil. The last step is that hydrolat, which is also known as aromatic water, is achieved through a tube.
