The two diagrams explain the information about the life cycle of salmon which is a species of large fish.
Overall, it is clear that there are three stages in this process beginning the cycle with salmon eggs and ending up with adult fish called salmon.
During the first stage of the life cycle, grown-up fishes lay eggs on reeds. These salmon eggs used to lay between the roots of the grass and the small stones in the upper part of the river for about 5-6 months of their age. Such species are otherwise called fry within a length of about 3-8cm.
In the subsequent stage, they grew into tiny fishes which used to stay in the lower part of a high-flowing river for approximately four years. These living beings were also named smolt. Their length was about 12-15cm in range. In the final stage of the life cycle, tiny fishes were grown up into adult fishes with a size of about 70-76cm. As a result, they live in an open sea area for about five years. Such species are termed adult salmon.
