The diagram illustrates how to produce electricity by utilising geothermal energy.
As can be seen from the plan, there are 5 main steps of producing electricity.
In particular, the process commences with pumping down the cold water which is accumulated on the ground through 4.5 km underground. Then after reaching the injection well, it goes through the geothermal zone which is full of hot rocks to head to the production well. After that, before turning into steam, the hot water produced in the production well pumped up to the condenser above the ground. Next, the steam activates the turbine and create the energy for powering the generator. Last but not least, the electricity is produced and go through the power line to the power tower and finally reach to the residential use.
In a nutshell, the process of producing electricity experiences different stages ranging from above-ground to underground and back to the ground again to bring the water from cold to hot and make use of the heat to generate the electricity.
