The diagram illustrates the production of leather goods. Overall, the process consists of 11 steps, beginning with drying animal skin and ending with various leather products. Additionally, there are two machines involved in this process.
The process commences when the skin of animals is hung in a rope under the sun for dehydration, after which dry skin is transported to the factory by truck or lorry. In the factory, the skin is washed by the mixture of water and lime. Subsequently, the leather is soaked by lime before undergoing a flattening step.
Once the smoothening stage has finished, animal skin is soaked in tannin which is a compound of water and vegetable matter. The next phase is that the skin is polished by a roller, which is followed by being delivered to another factory. The final step is that the skin is processed for the purpose of generating leather products such as shoes and balls.
