The table shows the sales volume of lunch and dinner at a small restaurant in a downtown business district from 7th-13th October, from Monday to Sunday. The cost of lunch in each of the 7 days is different. There is also a difference in dinner spent.
The cost of both lunch and dinner is very different in each of the 7 days. On weekdays, it is clear that the most sales spent was on Friday, $2500, while that on the weekends, $1750, were just doubled than that of weekdays. Similarly, dinner sales on Wednesday gradually climbed to Friday, went up from $3400 to $4300, then steadily declined to $2400.
Not surprisingly, the amount spent on Wednesday steadily grew to Friday, rose from about $5000 to about $6000, as people spent more times on lunch and dinner. But then fell steadily back to $4000 on Saturday, and further dropped to $3000 on Sunday.
The most profitable day was Friday and the least profitable was Sunday.
In general, customers who spend less on lunch also spend less on dinner, while those who spend more money on lunch also spend more on dinner.
