The illustration reveals a man-made process that a company uses to produce two type of glass.

Overall, it can be observed that there are three main steps, starting with putting ingredients in the furnace and ending with shaping product.

Looking into detail, main ingredients which is used to create glass are sand, soda and limestone. These material will be melt in high temperature, approximately 1700•C so that they can be converted into molten glass. After that, this liquid will flow through the pipe and then, it will be separated into two directions, one is to make plate glass and the other is to produce bottle glass.

Moving to the next stage, so as to form bottle shape, molten glass will be poured in a mould which can be removed, after being compressed by the air, the glass will be cooling to keep in shape. In contrast, the plate grass process is much more simple, the molten liquid will flow out of the pipe and be flatten by a roller system.
