The given map illustrates differences of the Street Station between in 1960 and now.
Overall, lots of changes have been made throughout the period. It is clear that numerous buildings are demolished, while some are brand-new at the present compared to 1960.
In the past, the Street Station included many shop. On the top, there were a row of store, such as a pharmacy, a butcher, a toy store, a book store, a bakery, a dvd rental store and a fish and chips shop, respectively from the left to the right. The station street is placed in the middle, between two sides of constructions. Finally, at the bottom was the railway station with a grocery and public telephones on the left, a dry cleaner’s on the right.
In the current Station Street, all seven stores are replaced by a parking area, a super market and a café. Those grocery and public telephones are disappear, instead, merge in to a hotel. Nevertheless, the other things, including station street, the railway station and the dry cleaner’s is remained the same.
