Given is the diagram depicting the process of making a modern landfill for household waste.
It is perceptible that this is a linear process with multiple steps, which commences with digging a hole and ends at filling the hole.
The process initiates when the hole is dug down to a depth above a natural rock in order that groundwater does not runoff. In the subsequence step, the hole is equipped with many layers of clay and synthetic substance and drainage pipes with the main purpose is to prevent wastewater from seeping through the ground and the drainage tank is used to retain organic waste. Thereafter, the hole is put into use to store the waste from the household, organic waste is contained directly in the hole and waste liquid is led into the pipes to escape to the environment. Ultimately, the hole is covered with a clay lid to incubate the waste inside to get gas from the composting process, and the amount of gas is piped through a pipe and used for household.
