The given chart illustrates how plastic waste is treated in two ways: recycled or moved to the landfill.
As can be seen from the chart, there are eight steps in the process of handling plastic items. It begins with the buying and consuming plastic objects stage and ends with the manufacturing of plastic products stage or moving plastic waste to the landfill.
Looking at the procedure in detail, plastic products must first be bought and consumed by users. After being consumed, these items are then distributed into two types. Plastic waste and litter that cannot be reused are delivered to the landfill. On the other side, the remaining plastic items are collected into one area. In the next step, a sorting machine is operated to classify plastic.
At the fourth stage of the process, after being classified, plastic is transported to the factory. Plastic is then undergone the recycling procedure before being shaped into new products. Finally, these products are moved to shops or markets to use.
