The diagram shows rainwater is collected for the use of drinking water in an Australian town

The diagram illustrates how an Australian town collects rainwater to use as drinking water. Rainwater collected from houses can be used for drinking after it has been filtered out the wastes.

The rain which falls on the rooftop is collected and then runs into the pipe at the side of the house. Each house collects rainwater and puts it into the water filter. After that, the water goes from storage to water treatment. Then the water will be filtered out again by chemicals.

When the water is ready for drinking, it will be on the pipe that leads into the house for people can use water for daily consumption.
