The diagrams below show the design for a wave-energy machine and its location.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You should write at least 150 words.
The graphs illustrate how a wave-energy machine works and in which locations it could be placed.
Overall, it is noticeable that there are several structures with different uses in the technology such as: 2 turbines, chambers and the electricity generator. Furthermore, the higher length the waves have, the taller wave-energy machines are.
As can be seen obviously, in order to make this machine profitable, it is located on the opposite side of the wave direction. These tides then could go into the bottom chamber of the technology, casing the water levels to rise higher. On the other hands, the air from the upper atmosphere flows through the first space on the upper left to make the turbine in the highest place rolling. After going through the first chamber, it meets the water surface in the bottom and returns back so as to create dynamics to activist the second turbine. Thus, electricity is produced by a generator which is connected to these active turbines.
In the second diagram, the position of the electricity-maker technology influences the cost of installation. To make a higher profits in electricity from taller waves, the machine has to be put in a deeper location which costs higher money to install. In a narrower place, although the installation costs is not as high as the previous ones, the wave-energy machine would make lower output and less energy was generated.
