The diagram on the left illustrates the process by which cement is made whereas the diagram on the right describes how concrete is made.
In general, it can be seen from the diagram that there are many steps to make cement and concrete. Besides, the production of cement and concrete look to be a fairly simple process.
In the cement production, we can immediately see that the first stage is to put two materials including limestone and clay, through a crusher to create a powder. After, this powder goes through a mixer and then it is heated in a rotating heater. Finally, after being heated, it has come through a grinder and become the cement, then it is packed into bags.
The diagram on the right-hand side shows us that concrete is a mixture of four ingredients including cement, water, sand and gravel. Cement makes up 15% of the mixture, water constitutes 10%, Sand with 25% and gravel with 50%. These components are mixed in a rotating concrete mixer to make concrete.
