Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Face-to-face communication is better than other types of communications, such as letters, emails, or telephone calls.
Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
Due to the advancement of technology, e-mail and telephone calls have dramatically replaced the position of face-to-face communication. However, some people still think that direct interaction is better than other types. Personally, I totally strike a blow for this notion.
To commence with, speaking to someone in person can make it much easier to motivate them. For instance, to encourage students to study harder for the final exam, teachers could make them rings or write letters to them but it seems to be more effective to walk to them, smile at them and stimulate them in person. In other words, face-to-face interaction enhances working productivity by creating more motivation.
In addition, direct communication is one of significant factors to build a true friendship. As a matter of fact, when people make friends with others by chance through e-mail or phone calls, maybe, at first, they will find it fabulous. However, in the long run, they will feel bored and the friendship can not last long. On the contrary, if people make friends by speaking directly, they will have more time to work and chat together. As a result, they are capable of understanding each other thoroughly, which is the foundation for a true comradeship to flourish and exist forever.
To sum up, in my opinion, face -to- face interaction is a better choice for people than other types so that people can have more stimulation as well as more close friends.
