The bar charts campare data on employment status of graduates and postgraduates in Britain after graduating in 2008 in four different categories namely: part-time work, voluntary work, further study and unemployment. Overall, the total number of graduate students is far more than the postgraduate students. Also, pictorially, both charts look similar with majority of students furthering their studies and fewer of them engaging in voluntary services.
From the charts, 29,665 students of graduate studies and 2,725 postgraduate pupils upgraded in their studies. Despite the smaller number of the postgraduate students, a greater proportion of them were engaged in part-time jobs compared to the proportion of graduate students.
In both cases, unemployed graduates and postgraduates were 16,235 and 1,625 respectively. Meanwhile, the number of graduate students who had no job and those who were engaged in part-time services were almost at par. Very few, 500 above 3,000, graduate students were involved in voluntary services and that of the postgraduate students were almost 350.
