Expenditure on fast foods by income groups, UK 1990
The bar chart gives information about the expenditure on fast foods classified by income groups on 3 kinds of fast foods in UK in 1990.
In general, the higher income they earned, the higher their expenditure on fast food were. Hamburger, Fish and Chips were more favorable than Pizza by all the groups.
High income spent the highest amount on fast foods especially Hamburger of over 40 pence a week compared with average and low income of over 30 and nearly 15 pence a week, respectively. Meanwhile, Fish and Chips were consumed most by average income group with 25 pence weekly, then by high income and low income with the amount of both over 15 pence weekly.
The expenditure on Pizza was the lowest in 3 groups, this number gradually declined from high to low income, particularly from approximately 20 to over 10 and to finally over 5 pence a week.
