In 2008, there were about 8 Million children who enjoy playing football, while there 2 Million children were enrolled in the swimming club and nearly 1 Million who doing athletics. The figures for playing football remained relatively stable in the last whole years, while the number of children who went swimming had more than doubled, to nearly 4 million, and there was a fivefold increase in practising athletics.
