The two line graphs illustrate the amount of money spent on children’s sports by British parents and the figures of children took part in three different sports in Britain from 2008 to 2014.
Looking at the graph, it is clearly seen that there was a significant rose in the spending on children’s sports by their parents over the whole 6-years period. Over the same time period, the number of children participated in football was considerably more popular than athletics and swimming. Overall, the number of youngsters participated in three sports has increased.
In 2008, British parents spent an average monthly about 20 pounds on children’s sports. Over the period of 6 years, the spending on children’s sports by their parents grew gradually, and the average monthly amount hit the highest point at 2014.
The number of children played football was about approximately 8 million, whereas nearly 1 million, and 2 million children’s participated in swimming and athletics respectively. The figure of football participants remained stabilize for the rest of the period. In contrast, the number of youngsters took part in swimming increased to around twofold. Similarly, athletics participation rose to about five times in the 6 following years.
