The above table illustrates, number of people traveling to various countries based on purpose between the periods of 1994-1998. It is divided into four sub-categories: holiday, business, visits to friends and relatives and other reasons. Second diagram depict, citizens of UK visiting distinct continents.
To summarize, number of tourists are traveling to different parts of the world on the basis of holiday which is increasing gradually in year of 1994-1998. Meanwhile, traveling for unknown reasons is fluctuating. Whereas, backpackers traveling to North America as well as other areas has ranked low which has identical value. However, there is popularity for Western Europe has risen dramatically.
Firstly, we can observe there is increasing value for holidays where citizens of UK travel various parts of the globe from 1994 (15,246) to 1998 (20,700). In addition, people traveling for other purpose have least value (982-990) in year of 1994 and 1998 over other category.
Secondly, people visiting Western side of Europe nations are escalating considerably in period of 1994 to 1998 having value 19000 – 24000. Next is North America, other areas like Asia having fewer tourists from Britain which has similar values throughout all the periods.
