Essay topics:

The first graph below shows the weight (in tonnes) of fruit produced by a farm during each month in 2013, and also the amount (in tonnes) of fertiliser used. The second graph shows the volume of rainfall in each month (in millimetres.)

The charts below depict the tonnage of fruit generated in a farm in the year 2013, the fertilizer applied and the amount of precipitation in that year.

To begin with, fruit production increased steadily from just over 2 tons in January to reach a peak in August, at roughly 4.2 tons. Throughout colder months of the year, the rate declined in a fluctuating trend by approximately 1 ton per month. With only 2.1 tons in December. Regarding fertilizer usage, this seasonal pattern is largely reversed, there was a moderate rise from January to April, by 500 kilograms, followed by a sharp decrease throughout the summer, with 0-5 kilograms used. Fertilizer consumption increased slightly in the autumn, rising to a total of around 7 tons before dipping to just below 0.5 tons in December.

In addition to this, a clear correlation can be seen between rainfall and the amount of fertilizer applied, with an increase up to 16 millimeters in February, falling dramatically to 4 millimeters in July, August and September. Rainfall then increased significantly, comprising 14 millimeters in December.

To summary, the farm used the most fertilizer at seasons of high precipitation level, whereas it produced the most fruit when both figures were around lowest,
