The flow chart shows the information about the traditional steps followed to publish a novel.
In an overview, there are about ten steps; Starting from the writer’s idea to signing a contract with agent and ending it with the publication.
First and the foremost step is to get an idea. The writer thinks about the new concept and pens down his first draft. After the drafting process the writer corrects and edits his writings in order to polish his novel. Once the draft is ready, he submits it to the agents, and whoever finds it interesting contacts the writer for future process.
The novelist signs a contract with the agency and makes changes with their aid; then the agent handovers the copy to the publication house. Here the editor makes an offer for the book. During this process various negotiations like changes in novel or issues with the contract are discussed. Whenever, both the parties agree, final draft is designed and copyedited.
Finally, the publication houses layouts the marketing strategies and contacts the book sellers and houses for its launch, and then the novel is published and all set to be sold.
