The illustration highlights various steps involved in the American driving license test.
To get a driving license, test takers have to overcome three specific examinations, namely an eyesight test, a written exam, and a practical exam called the road exam.
More specifically, participants must fill in the appropriate forms at the driving license center before taking a test of eyesight. Additionally, while people who successfully pass the eyesight test will pay fees to sit for the written exam, ones fail the former test will not receive a driving license.
After paying fees, test takers attend the written exam which is offered two extra opportunities. Whenever they pass this exam within three trials, they can take part in the road exam which is the final stage of the driving license test. However, if they fail the third time, they will pay the fee to retake the theoretical exam. Eventually, people overcoming the practical exam will obtain the driving license, while those do not have to make a repayment to do the written exam before coming to the last one.
