<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 17.6px;"> </span>The provided line chart shows key data on the measurements of how much carbon dioxide was released by an individual in each of the four ranking countries during the five periods: 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997 and 2007. </p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 17.6px;"> </span>Overall, there were two trends to be derived from the chart, the proportions of CO2emission for Italy and Portugal witnessed considerable increases, whilst, those of the other two countries, especially Sweden’s tended to significantly diminish.</p><p class="MsoNormal"> As can be seen from the chart, in 1967, the UK has a total figure for the amount of CO2 of over 10 tonnes, which took the first position. This was followed by Sweden’s, with the figure being comparatively lower, at nearly 9 metric tonnes. The quantity of CO2 emissions per person in Italy came the third, at over 4 tonnes. Approximately 2 tonnes CO2 were produced by Portugal’s citizens.</p><p class="MsoNormal"> According to the chart, in 2007, the quantity of CO2 emissions in the UK went down to more than 8 tonnes per person. Meanwhile, there was a remarkable drop to less than 6 tonnes in Italy. Converely, an significant increase was recorded inPortugal, with the former figure (data in 1967) much less than the latter one (2007). Similarly, Italy saw a rapid increase to about nearly 8 tonnes.</p>
