The following table gives statistics showing the aspects of quality of life in five countries.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information in the table below.
The supplied table reveals the standard of living based on four economic indicators in five nations including Bangladesh, Bolivia, Egypt, Indonesia and the USA in 1982.
In general, it can be clearly observed that while America presented the highest life quality, the opposite was true for Bangladesh in the list of countries examined.
As shown in the table, it is noticeable that GNP per head in the US took the lead with 13160 dollars, which almost doubling the Egypt. Following were Bolivia and Indonesia, both were just less than 600 US dollars. In contrast, standing at $140, Bangladesh showed a negligible figure.
Similar to the pattern of the income figure, America and Egypt ranked first in terms of daily calorie intake per person, at 3653 and 2950 respectively, which were much higher in comparison with that of Bangladesh, at 1877. Moreover, the amount of calorie Bangladesh people and Indonesian consumed was quite considerable, at around 2000 per head.
Furthermore, longevity witnessed a highest rate in the USA, at 74 years old, which two times higher than that one of Bangladesh. Besides, the three remaining nations had inconsiderable life expectancy rate (around 50 years old).
When it comes to death toll among infants, Bangladesh held the largest share, at 132 out of 1000 births. Followed by Bolivia at 124 which shows a ten-fold level compared to America. In addition, standing in the third and fourth place were Egypt and Indonesia with substantial numbers of 97 and 87 per 1000 deaths correspondingly.
