The graph and chart below give information about species extinctions and the threats to plant life.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The line chart below shows us the data of many species which are at the edge of being extincted, especially in the tropical forest and the bar chart shows the threats to vegetation caused from both human and nature.
Despite that there are only 4000 extinctions per millions in the years 2000s, it reaches 10000 in the 2020s, after 2 decades. Moreover, the number continues rising dramatically to 20000 in the next 20 years, which is as twice as the number of extinction in the earlier period. However, the number keeps going rapidly the following years, and peaks at 50000 in the 2060, within only 20 years. Fortunately, the number of creatures that is extincted stops growing, it decreases gradually in the next 4 decades, from 2060 to 2100.
The extinction of some individual sounds normal, but if it is in a huge number, that is a critical threat to biodiversity. Although human beings learn it by heart when we are a child, three-quarters of reasons lead to extinction is human impacts. The biggest percentage is 18.7%, caused by agriculture, and another noticeable percentage is 14.4% from harvesting. Plantation accounted for 4.7% and it is the smallest one. when it comes to natural impacts, the biggest is natural disasters, with the number 7 percent, and it only worth half of the second reasons by human impacts.
To conclude, in the tropical forest the next century will experience a noticeable change in the number of extinction of plant and animal species, and the biggest reasons for that is human impacts.
