The graph below illustrate the average transportation volumes in the London area in a 24-hour period from midnight to midnight.
Overall, it focuses on three means of transport: using cars, buses or going underground.
The first thing to notice is the extremely distinctive high number during the two rush-hour of approximately 7am to 10am and 5pm to 7pm regarding the total number, respectively with over 3 millions and around 3.5 millions of people. In terms of car there is another lower peak between 2pm and 4pm with only a sixth of the volume of the highest point.
Travelling underground is the most popular way to navigate London with about 1 million passenger at any given time of a day except for the period between 2am and 4am. In second place is the bus with an average of 0.5 million and the car is the least used. Comparing to the other kinds, the bus has quite a steady stream of passengers.
