The line graph demonstrates the amount of oil consumed by four contries during 22 - year period, from 2009.
Overall, it is evident that the amount of oil used by US and Western Europe and Japan is predicted to decrease while these figures in China and Middle East is expected to increase. US saw a significant reduction in consuming oil.
In 2009, US was the country consuming the largest amount of oi, at nearly 10 million barriers per day, while these figures of Western Europe and Japan was only 4 million barriers per day. The oil used by US remained around 10 million barriers per day until 2005 and then this is predicted to fall down remarkably to only more than 4 million barriers per day in 2030 but this will still the highest. In the same time, it is predicted that the consumed oil in Western Europe and Japan will steadily decline to more than 2 million barriers per day in 2030 and will become the lowest.
In constrast, from 2 million barriers per day in 2009, the amount of oil used by China an Middle East smoothly increased and it is forecasted that these figures will reache 3 million barriers per day for both consumers in 2030, which will higher than that of Western Europe and Japan but lower than that of US
