The information about the utilization of energy in the USA from 1980 to 2030 with the prediction from a 2008 report is depicted by the rendered line chart. The data has been calibrated in quadrillion units.

To begin with, 35 quadrillion units of power used by petroleum and oil in 1980. Furthermore, there was a fluctuating increase noticed until 2005, which was increased by 5 in 2005. However, after that, the utilization of energy by petrol and oil increased dramatically and also this trend will continue in the future until 2030. Moreover, 20 and 15 Quadrillion units of energy were consumed in 1980 by fossil gas and coal respectively. Although there had been fluctuated increase noticed in the usage of energy by coal and natural gas in 2010, it accounted for 22 and 23 correspondingly, then the energy usage by coal increased rapidly with the projection of 2030, it will be increased by 8 in 2030. However, the utilization of energy by natural gas will be similar in the estimated 2030 in comparison to the past.

Moving towards, in 1980, 3 quadrillion units of energy consumed by nuclear, wind and hydroelectricity. Despite the utilization of nuclear and solar energy increased steadily until 2005, a drastic increase will be seen in the usage of energy by these two fuels with projections until 2030, it will be comprised for 6 and 5 respectively. In addition, there was a fluctuating decrease observed in the hydropower energy, it will be decreased by 1, which will be accounted for 3.
