The provided line graph illustrates the data concerning the birth and death rates over the period of 2 centuries starting from 1901 to 2101 in New Zealand.
A glance of the graph reveals that the rate of birth is much higher than that of death. However, over the last half century shown in the illustration is assessed to bring staggering alternation of dominant position of the death rate, which is apparently seen that the birth rate is forecasted to be surpassed by the mortality one from 2041 onwards.
As is presented in the line graph, in 1901 the birth accounted for the higher proportion with around 20000, which is twice as much as the death did. The amount of people who were born in New Zealand witnessed a fluctuation in the first-60-year before reaching a peak at approximately 67000 in 1961 . The data source clearly communicates that between 1961 and 2021 these numbers have experienced a variation and stopped at just over 50000 in 2021, which is projected to be followed by a notable decline to nearly 40000 till the end of the 21 th century.
Regarding to the mortality rate, it stood at below 10000 at the start of the period. There was a mild volatility on the percentage of citizens passing away in New Zealand from 1901 to 2001. Nevertheless, the figures for the death are expected to go through a substantial growth from roughly 30000 in 2001 to 50000 in 2041. In all probability, 2041 will be the era that the lethality rate will overtake the position of the birth one at well under 50000. This proportion will continue to go up consistently to reach the highest point at about 60000 in 2061 before almost leveling off till the end of the given span.
