Essay topics:

The graph below shows the amounts of waste produced by three companies over a period of 15 years.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph captures the data of the waste produced by three companies (Company A, Company B, and Company C) in a span of a decade and a half (15 years). Overall, there is about a 25% decrease in the amount of waste produced by Company A which was the leader of waste creation in 2000, whereas Company C which produced the least amount of waste in 2000 (slightly above 3 tonnes) increased to about 200% in 2015.

Company A was the leading producer of waste in 2000 and created 12 tonnes. During the 15 year period, it saw a steady decline. In 2015, the company hit the lowest point of just below 9 tonnes of waste.

In 2000, Company B produced waste which was significantly above 6 tonnes and slightly below 9 tonnes. This peaked in 2005 when it created waste somewhat above than 9 tonnes. After 2005 there is a steep decline and created the least amount of waste in 2015 (3 tonnes) among all the companies.

Company C saw the exact opposite trend as of Company A. From producing the least amount of waste (just above 3 tonnes) in 2000, to the most in 2015 which was just above 9 tonnes. After 2010, there was a steep increase in waste production for this company. In 2010, Company B and Company C both produced identical amounts of waste, approximately slightly above 6 tonnes.
