the graph below shows the average number of uk commuters travelling each day by car, bus, or train between 1970 and 2030
The graph below illustrates how many wokers comunting to work every day by three diffenrent forms of transportation in UK over the course of 60 years starting in 1970.
looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that the number of UK commuters using car or train experiences an upward trend with the exception of the bus users.
The number of workers travelling by train stood at 2 millions in 1970, increasing slightly to 3 millions in 2010. And this figure then is predicted to grow steadily to a peak of roughly 4.8 millions in 2030. This pattern is almost identical to that for the number of commuter using private cars. It climbs significantly from 5 million in 1970 to about 7 millions in 2010, being estimated to rising midly to 9 million in 2030.
By contrast, the pattern which reflecting the number of bus users is completely reversed. At the beginning, it stood at 4 millions in 1970, and then decreased marginally to about 3.3 millions in 2010 before being predicted to declining to under 3 millions in 2030.
