The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The graph shows the amount of fish, chicken, beef, and lamp used in a European nation from 1979 to 2004.

Overall, it can be seen that during the period, fish accounted steadily for the lowest consumption. While this number of chicken increased, that of others types of meat decreased commonly, despite fluctuations.

In 1979, the use of fish reached over 50 grams per person per week. This figure went down slightly and remained at under 50 grams by the year 2004. In the same period, the expenditure on lamb suffered a significant decline from 150 grams in 1979 to 75 grams in 2004.

From 1979 to 1989, the use of beef was mostly higher than that of chicken. However, after 1989, there was a fluctuating rise in the percentage of chicken eaten, which reached the highest point at 260 grams per person per week. On the other hand, the nation witnessed a serious reduction in the consumption of beef, especially since 1994. More concretely, the lowest point of the line of beef was at 100 grams, compared to 250 grams of chicken eaten in 2004.
