The line graph illustrates the quantity of shops sealed and the proportion of fresh shops that were exposed in a particular country, in 2011 and 2018.
Overall,it can be seen that ,the number of shops closed and opened over the period fluctuated and experienced a downward pattern.
In 2011,the number of shop openings stood at over 8,000 ,which plunged to just below 4,000 the next year. Next, it grew dramatically to above 6,000 over the following two years. Afterwards, it declined moderately to 4,000 in 2015 and subsequently, remained unchanged to a little above 4000 in 2017,before it dropped moderately to 3,000 in 2018.
In contrast, the number of shop closures stood at just above 6,000 in 2011,and declined slightly to just under 6000 in 2012. Afterwards, it experienced a moderate increase to above 7,000 ,and then began to decline steadily to about 6,500 the next year. Subsequently, it fell sharply to reach a low of around 500 in 2015 ,and then it dramatically rose to reach a peak of just above 5000 in the following year. Afterwards, it declined gradually to 5000 in 2017 and then, grew steadily to just above 5,000 in 2018.
