The bar graph illustrates the number of visitors to a certain Caribbean Island over a seven-year period between 2010 and 2017.
Overall, there was an increase in the total number of tourists to the Island. By the year 2017, the number of those staying on cruise ships was higher than those staying on the Island.
In 2010, the number of visitors who stayed on the Island was the higher one out of the two options, at about 750,000 tourists. This number remained static in 2011 after which there was a steady increase to the peak of 1.5 million visitors in 2013. From 2013 to 2015, the population plateaued with a slight depression in 2016, then rose back to the peak value in 2017.
On the other hand, the number of people who stayed on cruise ships had an initial fluctuation from 2010 to 2013 between 250,000 and 500,000. However, from 2013, the number rose steadily over time surpassing those who stayed on Island in 2016 to reach the peak of 2 million tourists in 2017. In addition, the total number of holidaymakers on the Island had a steady increase from 1 million in 2010 to 3.5 million in 2017.
