The diagram illustrates tourist figure of a specific Caribbean Island from 2010 to 2017 (in million).

It is noticeable that there were two types of tourism on the island known as staying on cruise ships and accommodating on island and both experienced an upward trend in the 7-year period.

In 2010, there were 250,000 visitor choosing cruise ships, and then this number went up to 500,000 in 2011 before decreasing to 200,000 in 2012. From 2012 to 2017, the figure had a gradual increase of from 250,000 up to 500,000 tourists each year and reached 2 million in 2017.

Starting at higher position, in 2010, visitors staying on island stood at 750,000, this statistics remained unchanged for the next year and then followed by a rise of 750,000 within 2 years from 2011 to 2013. This number of 1.5 million remained stable for following years till 2017 except for the year 2016 when it suffered a downturn and hit 1.25 million.

The total of 2 types of accommodations galloped in this timeline, it began at 1 million in the first year and significantly increased in the next 4 years and reached 2.5 million in 2014 before slowing down the pace in 2015 and 2016. From 2016 it again rose substantially to 3.5 million in 2017.
