The line chart demonstrated the number of people who travelled on a Caribbean island in total, stayed on cruise ships and landed on the island from 2010 to 2017.
According to the graph, there was an increasing number of people who visited the island over the seven years, whether they cruised on the ships or landed on it. Meanwhile, there were more tourists who chose to visit the island rather than staying on board before 2016. However, the number of visitors staying on cruise ships overtook that of landing on the island after 2016.
Looking at the image, we can see that only one million people travelled to the Caribbean island in 2010 while with a significant increase, the number went up to 3.5 million in 2017. The number of visitors who chose to travel by cruise ships rose by 1.75 million in the seven years, from only 0.25 million to 2 million. The number of tourists on the island, however, experienced a mild increase between 2010 and 2013 (from 0.75 to 1.5 million) then mainly remained at the number to 2017.
