The line graph compares the population in India and China from 2000 to the present, and a projectile from the present until 2050.
Overall, both countries have more than a billion of a population which is clearly seen that the population of India, having continuous growth, will overtake that of China in the future, while, there is a fluctuating trend in the Chinese population.
China population which had more than India at approximately 270 million people in 2000, rose gradually from 1,270 to 1,400 billion people between 2000 - 2018. Meanwhile, the growth rate in India was faster than China which was an increase of about 300 million people more than China, 130 billion people. However, China still has a bigger size of the population in 2019 but the graph which projects to the next 31 years, shows China population will be overtaken by India after 2030. Moreover, the growth of India will continue to 1,600 billion in 2050, while a decrease in population in China that will start in 2030, will continue to decrease, finishing at 1,4000 billion people in 2050.
