The above-mentioned line graph represents the quantities of goods measured in million tonnes transported in the U.K during the period from 1974 to 2002 by an availability of various modes of transport specifically road, water , rail and pipeline. I will explained the comparisons of given data in the upcoming paragraphs.
Firstly, from 1974 to 1994, maximum 20 million tonnes of products were transporting by pipeline and approximately 30 and 59 million tonnes goods had transferred through rail and water facility. The road used to transported estimated 79 million tonnes goods in U.K country.
Secondly, by 1994 to 2002 , the road facility was used to transporting 99 million tonnes and water and rail alternatives were utilizing to transferred 62 and 41 million tonnes goods to U.K. Beside it, more than 20 million tonnes transported by pipeline.
In the conclusion, it seems to me that road was the popular mode of transport by which maximum quantity of goods transported as compared to other modes of transport including water, rail and pipeline facilities.
