In general, the largest amount moved from area to another was by roads. Likewise, the pipelines transported the smallest amount during given period.
In 1974 the roads used to transfer around 70 million tones which was around doubled the amount moved by trains, it was just 36 million tones. After 1978 the transportation by roads witnessed a significant decrease until 1982, it was just 65 million tones. On the contrary, the transportation has a sharp increase in 1982, it was 58 million tones from 38 million tones in 1974. Moreover, between 1978 and 2002 the transportation by railway was less than transportation by water and more than transportation by pipeline and this period has seen a fluctuation, it started with transferring approximately 40 million tones and ended up by 42 million tones. The transportation by pipelines witnessed a constant amount between 1994 and 2002, while transportation by roads and railways thrive roughly to 98, and 43 million tones respectively.
