In 1955, on the average, each person in US ate nearly 60 pounds of beef. The figures went up gradually and reach a peak of 90 pounds in 1976. However, the amount of beef consumption reduced considerably in the following years, down to just 50 pounds per person. There were small changes in the amount of pork and turkey consumption. Pork decreased slightly from 50 pounds in 1955 to around 40 pounds in 2012. Average person in US consumed less and more 10 pounds in given time.
