The line graph below compares four sectors in terms of the amount of acid rain emissions that they produced over 17 years in the UK.
It is clear that the total amount of acid rain emissions considerably dramatic between 1991 and 2007. The most dramatic decrease was seen in electricity, gas and water supply sector.

In 1991, around 3.3 million tonnes of acid rain emissions came from electricity, gas and water supply sector. Then followed by, other industries sector produced approximately 2.1 million tonnes of acid rain. Just over 0.7 million tonnes of acid rain came from transport and communication sector, and 0.6 million tonnes was produced by domestic sector.

From 3.3 million tonnes of acid rain, emissions of electricity, gas and water supply fell dramatically to just 0.5 million tonnes in 2007. While acid rain emissions from domestic sector and other industries decreased gradually, transport and communication sector increased to 0.9 million tonnes.
