The line graph provides information about air pollution in the UK. The data was measured in million tonnes and the data generated from three different sources (transport, industry, and household) from 1990 and 2005. Overall, it is apparent the number of air pollution significantly decreased throughout the years with industry responsible for the biggest source of pollution and household activities accounting for the least.
In the initial year, almost 6 million tonnes of pollutant was resulted in from industrial activities, and the figure then decreased significantly to about 2.5 million tonnes in 2006, before ending the period at 2 million tonnes in 2005. Pollutants caused by househol activities was initially the lowest. The figure was reported just about 1 million tonnes in the beginning, dropping slowly throghout the year and it ended just about 0.1 million of tonnes in the last reported year. Conversely, the amount of pullutants resulted from transportation sector was only 1 million tonnes in 1990 and there was only a slight change througouth the years.
The total amount of pullutants released to air in the beginning of period was about 7 million tonnes, levelled off considerably in the following years and at the last reported year, the the number of pollutants emmited was abut 3,1 million tonnes in 2005.
