the graph below shows us consumers average annual expenditure on cell phone

The given line graph depicts American consumers’ average yearly spending on mobile phone and residential phone services over the ten-year period between 2001 and 2010.
Overall, it is evident that the amount of money spent on cell phone saw a noticeable rise while the average expenditure on landline phones received the opposite trend which continuously decreased over the time recorded period. It is also clear to see that the spending in 2006 was similar with both types of phones.
According to the graph, in 2001, the residential phone services were spent around 700$ by the US phone users, whereas the figure for mobile phone services was just over 200$. Moreover, the yearly expenditure on cell phone services increased to 350$ from 2001 to 2006, but the residential phone services decreased to 150$ in the same period. There was the same expense for both phone services in 2006, at about $550 on average.
In the following 4 years, the average expenditure for mobile phone services had a steady rise and it reached the peak of 750$ at the end of the period while approximately 400$ were paid by American on landline service.
