The graph illustrates the percentage of UK youngers following a vegetarian diet. The graph has a maximum and a minimum approximately in 1981 and in 1996 respectively and how it has stabilized leveling off at 10% since 2010.
Number of youngers who was engaged in a vegetarian diet rose steadily from 1960 with zero teenagers following vegetarian diet until it had reached a 15% peak in 1981. Between 1980 and 1990 it declined considerably from 15% to 7%. During the period from 1990 to 2000 it fluctuated in interval from 4% to 8%. After that, the graphs had grown slightly for 11 years until it stood at 11% in 2011. Then the graph has remained constant up to present time and it is expected to stagnate until 2020 on value 10%.
Overall, fashion on vegetarian diet was the most popular in 1981 and then have never reached this level. In late 90’s vegetarian diet suffered loss of popularity. Nowadays it has average scale and isn’t changing dramatically.
