The bar chart illustrates the proportion of academic staff memebers across seven different fauclties of a major university during the year 2012 by gender.
Overall, it is clear that engineering had the biggest difference in the number of males and females.
As can be seen from the chart, the faculty of medicine had an equal number of both female and male staff, at about 50%. Art faculty had a slightly higher number of women staff (at around 58%) while the number of men staff was relatively smaller (at 43%). In case of education, the percentage of the faculty by the male was slightly above 20% while the female's percentage tripled that number.
Looking at the chart in more detail, the moost popular faculty among men is engineering, with more than 80%, whereas the figure for women was under 20%.The faculty of bussiness and science had the same number of both genders, with 37% for females and 63% for males. In the section of law, the percentage of both men and women was 40 and 60 percent respectively.
