The graphs give information about the proportion of teenagers who are on vegetarian diet in the UK. It also shows future prediction of that percentage from 1960 to 2020.
Overall, the percentage of adolescents following a vegetarian was high in the past in comparison with current time. However, it is likely to grow in the future to reach a moderate rate. First, it started to grow steadily in the year 1960 with 1% until it peaked at just above 15% in 1980. Making it the highest rate of the studied period. After that, it decreased steeply to reach a percentage of 8% approximately in 1990. Followed by considerable decrease to trough at only about 3% in the late 90's, and with the start of the new century more teenagers have become vegetarians, and the proportion has doubled from 2000 to 2010 (about 5%, 10% respectively).
It is also projected to maintain that growth in the future which means that no major trends are expected to happen until 2020.
