the graph shows the production of main fuels in the UK between 1986 to 2000.
The line diagram illustrates the number changed in the production of petroleum, coal and natural gas in Britain from 1986 to 2000. The number of petroleum showed some fluctuations and a mainly upward tendency. By contrast, the one for coal also experienced some fluctuations but presented a roughly downward tendency. Besides, the number of natural gas kept stable until 1995, after which it steadily increased.
As can be seen from the chart that the petroleum industry always the most productive industry among the given three cohorts. Although the number of it peaked at 140 tones in 1991, it dropped to the same number as one in initiate year. Then it picked again and steeply increased to 150 tonnes in the year 2000. Conversely, the figure for the coal constantly dropped from 110 tones though it slightly rose again from 1991 to 1995. However, it continued to fell and ended up with 60 million tonnes.
As for one for gas, it is easily noticed that the data always remained at 60 million tones until 1995. Suddenly, it went through a significant increase and reached the highest point which was doubled for one in coal in the year 2000.
