In general, the rate of smoking both women and men decreased over the period of 60 years, but the smoking rate of men was higher than that of women.

The highest smoking rate of men was 600 persons in 1960, then the rate started to decrease. Men's rate of smoking decreased rapidly between 1965 and 2000, dropped to approximately 200 persons in 2000.

In contrast with the rate of smoking of man, women’s rate of smoking was very low approximately less than 100 persons in 1960. It was highest point during 60 years period. However, from 1975 to 2000, the figure began to decline and had dropped to 200 persons in 2000.
